Ing. Marek Hekrle
Marek Hekrle holds a master's degree from the Prague University of Economics, specializing in Environmental Economics and Business with a minor in Public Administration. He began his career as an economic analyst at the Ministry of the Environment, where he concentrated on regulatory impact assessment. Currently, he serves as an economic analyst at the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem and as a project assistant for IREAS.
His professional focus lies in the economic evaluation of ecosystem services provided by nature-based solutions in both urban and rural areas. In his role, Marek applies and refines various methods and tools within the realm of environmental economics. These include but are not limited to cost-benefit analysis, the choice experiment method, regulatory impact assessment, and socio-economic research methods to examine public preferences for nature-based solutions.
